Welcome to Northabroad

Hi! We’re Alex & Victoria

We’re a vegan couple from Copenhagen, Denmark, who have spent much of the past decade travelling together. These days, we explore the world with our two young children, Adrian and Zoe.

On Northabroad, we share honest travel guides to places we’ve explored extensively, with practical tips and plenty of photos to help you decide where to go.

Rhodes, Greece
Isola Tavolara

We like:
Mountains that leave us breathless.
Islands small enough to circle on foot.
Exploring jungles in search of elusive wildlife.
Walking quietly through medieval towns at dusk.
Catching that first glimpse of a roaring waterfall.
Getting up waaay too early to be the first ones there.
Marvelling at temples thousands of years old.
Beaches that take real effort to reach.
Surf culture (but not surfing…).
Arches in all shapes and sizes.
Swimming in natural pools.
Driving unfamiliar roads.
Volcanoes. All volcanoes.
Eating vegan ice cream.
Falling autumn leaves.
Roaming sand dunes.
Maybe you do too?

Regional spotlight:

Sumatra, Indonesia

Active volcanoes galore, Sumatra is hot like few other places on earth. We came for the extremes, but it was the total relaxation that made us stay.

Corsica, France

We spent three unforgettable months between the sea, the pine trees and the mountains, doing our best to uncover the island’s many secrets.

City spotlight:

Tepoztlán, Mexico

Tepoztlán is easy to reach, but not so easy to leave. We spent a week here, drifting between hikes, street food and something quietly spiritual in the air.
